Mary K194 days agoeBike convert We did 3 day ATM ride with transfers, accommodation and eBike hire. Day 1 from Walter Peak to pick up near Mavora lakes was awesome especially with the wind at our backs. The bikes were super comfortable and well maintained. Good old fashioned service. Bharathy219 days agoI got a shuttle with Around the Mountain from Kingston back to Queenstown after completing the trail over 4 days. Took the hassle out of having to work out how to get back from the trail end and allowed me to just enjoy my trip! Mike, who picked us up, was lovely and we had some great chats on the road back to Queenstown. He also dropped us all off at our respective accommodation, which was super convenient. Amanda F257 days agoEasy bike rental and logistics I rented a bike for a self supported ride of the Around the Mountains trail and also used Around the Mountains Cycle Tour to organize ferry and shuttle rides. Mike C537 days agoBrilliant Service and value Great service. Easy to order bikes at late notice to Lumsden. ATM delivered exactly what we ordered with helmets and tools. We forgot about daylight savings ending and ATM waited for us to deliver bikes. Returned bikes to secured shed. Easy and simple. Highly recommend.Posted on Tripadvisor
Alistair M558 days ago2 day Clutha to Roxburgh trail After walking the Routeburn we completed the Cromwell to Clyde and Alexandra to Roxburgh with ATM Cycle Tours. We used their bikes and shuttle service to get to the beginning & back to Queenstown. Mike & Graham & their team provided a great service from working out our trip plan, advising on best refuel stops along the trail and general advice on what to expect on the trail where the hard bits were etc. They were excellent! Genuinely interested in you having a successful trip and a great ride. Highly recommendedPosted on Google
Sahra Deagle589 days agoA friend and I rented bikes from here for a 10 day bikepacking/touring trip. The bikes were top notch (new Trek Marlins) and performed fantastically for over 500 km of biking. They also coordinated a last minute shuttle for us from Cromwell to Arrow Junction which was much appreciated. Would definitely rent from here again.Posted on Tripadvisor
peterrM6374WL807 days agoA SPECTACULAR WAY TO STAY FIT Mike and Peter were very professional. A top of the range Specialised bike was used , I actually thought it might have been Mikes personal bike given that I had made the booking in the middle of winter.The shuttles left on time and proved to be quite an entertaining part of the adventure. Fancy Mikes son working for Maclaren in formula 1 car racing as an engineer….never a dull moment.The section from Walters Peak to Mavora Lakes was the best cycle touring I have ever done and I’ve been doing them for quarter of a century now.Posted on Google
Deryck Walker826 days agoHighly recommended. Our family with 2 young daughters (8 and 11) hired ebikes from Mike at Around the Mountain. We rode Arrowtown to Gibbston amd had an absolutely phenomenal day. We had problems finding ebikes that would fit our young children so stoked to find Mike. The ride itself was awesome, and we are really glad we got the ebikes - the kids l9ved ot so much they did am extra 10 kms on top of the planned ride. The Gibbston Tavern was such a great stop, and the ferry service from Mike easy amd welcome at the end of the day. Thank you for a great day out.Posted on Google
Bernie Milne837 days agoWe did a fully supported package with Mike and the team at ATM Cycle Tours. It was super easy as accommodation and shuttling of bags, and us was organized seamlessly. We used our own bikes but hired an ebike for one of our team who had not done a lot of cycling. Mike was awesome and accommodated our requests without a problem. I would highly recommend ATM cycle tours if you are looking to do this trip.Posted on Tripadvisor

l'aventure par excellence Mike and Pete helped us stitch together a bespoke three days of superlative adventure - cycling to Gibbston Valley, a shuttle to tackle the Lake Dunstan Trail, then Arrowtown back to Queenstown. Tania R977 days agoSuperlative old-fashioned customer service! Did a solo trip along entire length of ATM Dec 2023. Mike, Peter & Graham were very reliable, provided good old-fashioned customer service, were friendly & personable, knowledgeable about trail terrain & happy to provide suggestions as to off-trail rides & activities. They took the headaches out of organizing accommodation, bag & bike transfers & all I had to think about was riding from A to B. I did a comparison of many other companies & ATM were priced extremely competitively. This companies superlative reviews are certainly well deserved!Posted on Google

Chris Singleton1060 days agoWe were in a group of five and the tour was organized for us in an anticlockwise direction around the Eyre Mountains over five days. Mike and Pete organised everything wonderfully and we were always picked up, dropped off everywhere on time, and accommodation chosen was always good. We had a wonderful time overall and good weather, from sunshine and tail winds to snow and head winds! (only briefly for them). The trail and road surfaces are great over the whole length and the Around the Mountains trail trust are doing an excellent job here. The only brief disappointment at the time was that we found out at the last minute we could not take the Earnslaw across Lake Wakatipu to begin our tour. This was due to it leaving later than Mike would have liked for us to make the first night's pickup, so we were ferried on an earlier workboat across to Walter Peak. Since the Earnslaw was one of the biggest drawcards for our group in the first place, we were very pleased when Mike refunded each of us the cost of the boat trip, enabling us to make a leisurely Earnslaw cruise once we returned to Queenstown. Mike was fantastic getting us sorted on the bikes and providing some help with transport to save a hill walk with 3 little ones. It was super easy to book and the bikes were great.Posted on Google
Judith Danks1394 days agoWe had an amazing cycle trip with the help of Mike from 'Around the Mountain Cycle Tours'. Mike was helpful and very organised which made the trip awesome. The views particularly on the first day from Walter Peak to Mavora were stunning. Our stay in Te Anau right across from the lake at the Lakeside Motel was very comfortable. And we highly recommend the Recliff Cafe for a meal ( suggested by Mike). We stopped in Mossburn at the Bracken Hall cafe and had an amazing venison pie. (The best pie ever). The stay in Lumsden at the Royal Mail Hotel was definitely noteable. This lovely old building has been renovated beautifully. Great trip. Thanks Mike+3
