Naylor House
Naylor House has been lovingly restored keeping the ambience and look of an 1870’s country homestead, but with the comforts of modern day convenience.
There is a large country kitchen with all modern appliances including microwave, full gas and electric stove and a dishwasher. If self-catering isn’t your idea of a holiday, your hosts John and Avis are happy to provide all your meals on request at an extra charge.

The Lodge & Holiday Park
The Lodge and Holiday Park is located on Avon St, just off the main road in central Athol.
Currently the holiday park offers camper van berths and camping sites. Please note that the holiday park accepts ONLY self contained camper vans.
Showers and washing machines are available.
The Lodge offers double bed and bunk accommodation.

ATHOL
Mataura Lodge
Mataura Lodge Athol comes with unique Southland and Otago history.
Starting life in the King Edward Army Barracks, built circa 1939, the building served to accommodate soldiers during WWII.
After the war it moved on to become temporary accommodation for New Zealand immigrants seeking a new life in this beautiful country.
Although the building has been completely renovated, original features remain. The floor boards in the main living area have been lovingly restored and refitted, meaning you’ll be walking on a small part of history.

ATHOL
Fiery Creek Shearers Quarters
The Shearers Quarters at Fiery Creek farm have been lovingly converted into boutique bed and breakfast accommodation, just 8kms south of Athol.
Hosted by your friendly local, Jason, the quarters offer private use of 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchenette, along with a self-serve bbq, and access to a beautiful outdoor area overlooking the farm grounds.

Built in 1875 by the celebrated architect Robert Burwell it is now an ideal base for a range of activities including trout fishing, tramping, cycling and sightseeing around some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
