Start your journey with a relaxing boat ride which takes you across Lake Wakatipu, then enter a different world as you ride around the show stopping valleys of the Eyre Mountains and Von Valley, and through secluded back country, passing through farmland, small towns, and national park, on this 180 km, 3 -5 day cycle trail.
The cycle trail is constructed on 56km of old railway line, 64km of easy new cycle trail, and 53km along the wilderness of a no exit road (for cars).
The trail is open all year around, but mainly ridden in the warmer months between 01 October to 30 April.

Lake2Lake Trail
As an optional add on you can spend a day on the beautiful Lake2Lake trail that runs along the Waiau River in Fiordland, from Te Anau to Manapouri. Stay overnight in Te Anau and we’ll shuttle you to the start / end of the Lake2Lake Trail.
